BABOLAT RPM ROUGH RED 125

RPM  Rough is the textured version of RPM Blast, one of the most popular co-polys ever made. Like the standard RPM Blast, this string is a copolymer monofilament with an octagonal shape and a special cross-linked silicone coating. RPM blast Rough is perfect for aggressive players who like to attack the ball with long, fast strokes. Our playtesters found it a tad softer and more powerful than the original RPM Blast, resulting in a slightly more penetrating shot. With its grippy surface, you'll find plenty of bite for bringing the ball down with spin. The durability is also quite high, making this a great option for string breakers.

RPM Rough Black is slightly more powerful than RPM Blast, sitting at a common power range for most poly strings. 

Spin 9.5/10

It's hard to exceed the levels produced by RPM Blast, with its octagonal shape. However, the textured nature, coupled with the patented octagonal shape allows RPM rough to produce simply ridiculous levels of topspin, with major bite. You'll be hard pressed to find a spinnier string.

Comfort 6.5/10

Like most polyesters, RPM rough is on the stiffer side. This helps to generate topspin and control, but can take away from arm-friendliness. If you're looking for a softer Babolat alternative, we recommend giving RPM soft a go. 

Control 8.5/10

Control is maximised with RPM rough thanks to its octagonal, textured structure. 

Durability 7.5/10

RPM rough does seem to hold its playability for a little longer than RPM blast. This string does tend to last a while when used in a higher guage.
